Body Focus Psychotherapy Supervision/Training

Facilitated by Body Focused Psychotherapist and Transactional Analyist Sue Hampton BSc Hons CTA PTSTA

This on-going, bi-monthly supervision/training group is for counsellors and psychotherapists (See NB below) who wish to deepen their experince & practice with body-focused interventions.  There will be 6 participants in this group.

NB. Applicants need to have had some previous individual supervision/training with Sue

Sue has over 20 years experience. She teaches BFP experientially with group discussion and analysis. She will do this using BFP concepts and models including her ‘Realms of Experience Wheel’.

Supervisee/trainees will be encouraged to set their own agendas for this group.  Topics we can include are:

  • Importance of working with the Body in Psychotherapy - The Physiological state.
  • BP - History, Schools and Ethics
  • BP - Philosophy and Models
  • BP - Methodology
  • Working with different aspects of self - 'Realms of Experience'
  • Working with, awareness, sensation, the interrupted impulse, touch and movement.
  • The Seen/Hidden self. Impasses.
  • The Embodied Relationship.
  • BP methodology and interventions.
  • Case studies and supervised practice.
  • Commentated demontrations with analysis.
  • Applications to practice and links with Transactional Analysis.


23rd September 2016 and 25th November 2016.
