Professional Development Training for Psychotherapists:
This one-day introductory seminar is available for trainee and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who wish to learn about working with the body.
The course will serve as an introduction to Sue’s approach, which has evolved over 14 years experience as a Body Focused Psychotherapist. She will introduce BFP to you as she does with her clients; by teaching you body-focused ‘awareness experiments’. She will do this in the context of Body Psychotherapy concepts and models including her ‘Realms of Experience Wheel’.

Each session will emphasise a different aspect of working with the body in psychotherapy. Links will be made to Transactional Analysis, Process Work, Ron Kutz’s Hakomi Method, Lowen's Bioenergetics and Jung's concept of 'active imagination'. There will be the opportunity to engage in theoretical discussion and analysis, to work experientially and to receive supervision as well as live supervised practice.
